Bodega Miras, Joven Naranjo, 2022

Founded in the late 1990’s by Marcelo Miras, Bodegas Miras is a family project which started making wine for their own family consumption, a practice not uncommon in Argentina. They are based near the city of Neuquen in Rio Negro province, Patagonia, 800km south of Mendoza. Marcelo has been involved in wine production from a very young age, and worked with big producers in Patagonia (including Humberto Canale and Fin Del Mundo). A desire to make his own wines, in his own style, led to him founding Bodegas Miras. Pablo, Marcelo’s son, is now involved in the project. Together they tend organic vineyards, making wines by hand with parcels of Trousseau, Semillon, Malbec and others.
