Winery Biodyn Haider is a biodynamic estate based in the small locality of Apelton on the southeastern shore of Neusiedlersee (lakeneudiedl). The wine region is called Burgenland adjacent to the boarder with Hungary. This region receives an average of 270-300 sunny days a year which creates a unique vine-growing climate for a cold region. Its known for producing the more mature, powerful Austrian wines and the traditional Eiswein (icewine).
Berthold and Eva have a deep understanding of biodynamic agriculture with emphasis on practicality. They own and tend 22 Hectares on vines featuring, Gelber Musketeler (yellowmuscat), Welschriesling, Gruner Veltliner and Pinot Blanc in whites, and Zweigelt,
Blaufrankisch, Blauburger, Roeslerand Cabernet Franc in reds.
