James was Gourmet Traveller Sommelier of the Year in 2008. He ran South Australia’s largest wine show the Adelaide Review’s Hot100 from 2010-2013. Founding member of Natural Selection Theory together with Sam Hughes, Anton van Klopper and Tom Shobbrook. Jauma is a family-run business, founded by James in 2010. For over a decade James has worked with vineyard consultants Fiona Wood and Dave Gartleman, they manage the vineyards in Mclaren Vale where James gets the fruit to make Jauma’s wines. At the farm there are 1200 organic cherry trees and James also started planting up a vineyard on site with vines nurtured in their nursery.
